Police have recently had to issue a statement denting offering an amnesty to motorists who have been accused of dodging speeding fines. A law firm said to be representing more than 400 drivers in the region where the letters have been received has suggested that people are cautious.

It has been reported that one supervising driver was even jailed after a learner was involved in a crash that resulted in the death of two people. Due to this the AA have expressed the need for learners to undergo lessons with instructors as well as having some time spent with experienced drivers. There is always the risk that learner drivers will pick up the bad habits of more experienced drivers without realising.

Another common and irritating road faux pas is not dipping your headlights when oncoming traffic is seen, this is very dangerous as it can leave oncoming traffic dazzled.

Using your fog lights when weather conditions do not require them is against the law, on average fog lights are ten times brighter than normal rear driving lights and can render your brake lights invisible and useless.

4% of people who responded to the survey admitted to breaking at least one of the laws. The figure rose to 22% for those aged between 21 and 24.

Hogging the lanes in the middle of motorways is another pet peeve most drivers hate. The rules of the roads is to stick to the left hand lane unless you are overtaking.

The charity Brake have also recommended that the minimum age for people to be allowed to accompany learner drivers should be raised to 25 rather than 21 as it is currently.

Another dangerous act that some road users partake in is intimidating cyclists and pedestrians. It is important to respect others around you whilst driving.

Traffic offences are an area of the law that Oliver Motoring can help with. A speeding solicitor can advise you on all matters of motoring law.

This is not another post telling you not to speed. It is a post that gives you ideas on what you need to do while using a radar detector.

In the 1970′s, Dave Smith received a speeding ticket he did not think was fair. After this, he created the first radar detecting device.

You are about to read different ways, along with the use of a radar detector, to drastically reduce your chances of receiving a speeding ticket.

Who speeds? Everyone. Even if you think you do not, you most likely do from time to time. Do you always drive 25 mph in a 25 mph zone? Really?

Know the town you are in before you speed in it. The worst mistake is speeding in an unfamiliar place you know nothing about.

Knowing more about the town you are driving in will dramatically decrease getting a ticket and will allow you to drive faster with confidence.

Most cities will have places where cops like to rest at. This could be in the empty spot next to the gas station, ect. You need to know these “hiding areas” before you speed.

Use city mode on your radar laser detector when in any town. This will allow you to prevent as many false alerts as possible, which can be annoying.

When entering on a ramp to the freeway, turn on Highway Mode. This should give you about one to two miles ahead of radar scanning.

When your radar detector gives an alert, you must be able to slow down and fall behind several vehicles in a pack. This is called true “Stealth Mode”.

By the time the vehicles are in a clear enough view for the police officer, they will have no idea who was the speeder. This is what you want to happen.

Speeding is illegal and you should not do it. This was meant to teach people solely how to prevent speeding tickets and not to actually speed.

Find bargains on cheap radar laser detectors and start reducing your chance of receiving a speeding ticket.

In the world of radar laser detectors, you can choose from three designs. You can choose remote mount, corded or cordless detectors. Each will provide a level of protection, but it is really up to you to avoid a speeding ticket.

Before you choose which one you want, remember that they are all going to give you similar protection against while speeding. Some models will work better than others.

If you want something “out of the way”, a remote-mount radar detector is the way to go. It is like putting yourself in stealth mode.

The radar/laser sensors need to be mounted on the front or both the front and rear area of the vehicle. This will give you three hundred and sixty degrees of protection.

As far as money is concerned, these may be twice as much as other models. The reason being is they are a greater and more advanced technology.

Although uncommon because manufacturers do not make as many, cordless radar detectors run on a battery supply or with some kind of solar panel.

There are a lot less cordless models available to choose from. This would be the main reason that there are less of them being used.

The most widely used and most available detector are the corded models. Sure, will will have a cord, but all you have to do is plug it in. It is that simple.

They can be packed with features, including more advanced false alert detection and offer easy to read front panel displays.

All types of radar detectors will work very much the same. They are all designed to pick up many types of radar and laser signals from law enforcement’s radar / laser guns.

Many states allow you to have radar detectors in your vehicle. It is always best to read about your state law prior to purchase.

Want to buy one now? Cheap radar laser detectors can save you a ton of cash compared to citations for driving too fast.

Radar detectors are also called fuzz busters. They are electronic devices used by people for many purposes. Motorists use these devices to monitor the speed of their vehicles. Law enforcement agents use the devices to detect over-speeding. Drivers can use radar detectors to avoid being caught and to avoid prosecution. Law enforcement agents can issue speeding tickets to the driver who has been caught by radar detectors. If the driver has a history of repeat offenses, he or she may be arrested. The evidence is obtained by the radar detector.

Doppler radar devices can be detected, while other types of devices like the ANPR, VASCAR and Piezo cannot be detected. A special sensor is used for other types of devices such as the LIDAR. Modern sensors can detect a wide range of wavelengths, from X to K waves.

Law enforcement officials use a wide variety of technologies to measure the speed of a moving object; vehicles. One of the techniques for detecting the speed of a moving vehicle is to utilize Doppler radar. Doppler radar is used to direct radio waves at the moving object or vehicle. The speed of the moving object or vehicle is determined by measuring the changes in the reflected frequencies. A wide variety of use of Doppler effect reflection technology includes radar guns. These radar guns can installed on a fixed object, on a vehicle or they can be hand held.

Radar detectors employ a device called a superheterodyne to record waves from the radar gun. An alarm is raised to alert the driver when radar gun emissions are detected. False alarms are also raised due to numerous parts inside the radar guns.

Automatic door openers that move within the device can interfere with the electromagnetic along the path.

There have been advances in the design of radar detectors. Modern radar devices employ GPS technology. This technology stores information of traffic monitors in a specific location. The device will alert the driver by setting off an alarm, whenever he or she approaches the location. New locations are stored in the memory of the device, and they will be remembered in future trips. All the driver has to do, is to click a button whenever the new location is approached.

The device automatically registers the location, without need for manually entering co-ordinates. The device goes beyond registering locations. It also allows the drivers to store locations of all false alarms. The GPS device will ignore these locations whenever a driver enters the territory. Special types of GPS technology can download the locations of speed monitors and redlights from the internet. These locations are stored in a database called the Trinity. Locations of speed monitors in all states of the USA can be accessed. This enables drivers to get an alarm warning when approaching or traversing another state.

With each passing year or month, new radar guns are introduced to the market. There is a lot of competition in this field. Technology companies are making innovations, which break the previous barriers and limitations. Radar is used in airports and aircraft technology. Devices which are sensitive and hard to detect are making headway and getting the upper hand in sales. Stealth devices are popular. These use sophisticated technology to counter detection. Innovative designers and electronic engineers have integrated GPS technology in radar detectors. The advantage of GPS technology is that it provides a massive database of co-ordinates, which helps the driver to evade detection in any area.

Craig Henderson has owned and used many best radar detectors to avoid getting speeding tickets at all times. He writes about his radar detectors and several related articles in his radar detector review blog.

A lot of people utilize a radar detector in their motor vehicles to help them become aware of, at least, some of the police monitoring of their speed. They understand that if they can acquire this data, in a timely manner, they will usually be able to slow down, in the event they were exceeding the speed limit, and avoid being issued a speeding citation.

A ticket is representative of many things to a driver, and none of them are good. There is the loss of funds and also the mark on their driving record, which cumulatively, can lead to the suspension of their driving privileges.

An individual may mount a legal defense to a traffic citation by opting to take her case before a judge. A defendant in traffic court is readily allowed to represent herself, but she also has the option to hire a lawyer. She may have to take a defensive driving class of part of the outcome of the case. When all is said and done, there could be costs of the citation, added court fees, the expense of the driving course and the invoice from her legal counsel. She may also have lost money due to taking time off work.

As you can see, receiving a speeding ticket in no small matter. There is little wonder why so many people are so adamant about their right to do everything possible to prevent it, including using a radar detector. On the other hand, many groups who are strong proponents for public safety, including most police officers, will tell you the only thing anybody needs to do to prevent a speeding ticket, is to make sure they do not exceed the legal speed limit.

Quite a few nations of the world, outright ban these devices. The country with the worst penalties for violating the ban is Greece. You get five points on your permanent driving record, that can help to make real trouble in the future, long after you forgot about it. You will be fined 2 thousand euros. You car can not be used for sixty days, and you can not drive any car for 30 days.

Radar detectors are legal in many countries, but there is one nation that is most friendly to them: Israel. They even have cell phones you can buy there, with radar detection abilities built in. In the United States, with a few slight exceptions, they are generally allowable. Department of Transportation rules prohibit them from commercial vehicles.

They are disallowed in the District of Columbia. They’re also illegal in Virginia, despite an attempt by some legislators to overturn the ban in 2010. Connecticut overturned their ban on the devices in 1992.

California, Minnesota and New York have laws against affixing anything to a windshield other than the rear view mirror, but there in no prohibition on detectors, or affixing them to the dashboard, and in the car grill.

In recent years, radar technology and GPS technology have been working together on certain models. These will warn you when you are coming upon places that are known to have traffic cameras. You have the option, on these models, to set them at any point, to remind you whenever you approach that same point in the future. This lets you mark areas you consider to be speed traps.

The irony to this all of this is that several studies has indicated that drivers who use a radar detector are less likely to be involved in a collision. It might have something to do with their driving skills, or it could be due to the possibility that by consciously avoiding speeding tickets, they pay more attention to what they are doing. They know these devices do not make them immune to getting caught, and they are not always exceeding the speed laws.

Craig Henderson has written many radar detector reviews for the best rated radar detectors like Escort Passport, Valentine One and Beltronics radar detectors. He himself uses the best radar detector whenever he goes on trips.

Recently a man has been accused if a hit and run collision as a bonfire event in Ireland. In his defence he has stated that he feared he would be murdered by a mob apparently attacking his car. The accused alleges that he was at one point surrounded by a gang as he attempted to drive through his village in Belfast.

The man accused of committing the crime will now answer to a number of motoring offences he has supposedly committed. These offences include causing grievous bodily harm by dangerous driving, driving without insurance and failing to stop at the scene of an accident. He already stands accused of committing the following motoring offences; taking a car without consent, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified

It was reported that seven people including two children were injured when the car hit a group of people in the village.

A police officer has claimed he could connect the man with all of the offences and expressed his fear that giving the man bail would see him being a risk to the public due to reoffending. The officer also described how a woman allegedly had to jump over a wall in order to avoid the man reversing into her.

The defendant’s plea of innocence stated that he was driving due to his pregnant partner experiencing pains. He claimed that he believed that the angry mob surrounding the car would have murdered or seriously injured him had they been able to get to him. He therefore concluded that he did not have any choice in taking his car and driving.

The man is also said to have denied that his driving was dangerous. Despite his plea of innocence his solicitor entered the man was refused bail as it was thought that he would pose a risk to the safety of the public were he to reoffend. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court again next month via video link.

If you are thinking about a career in law why not consider in house law jobs. Working for a Chester law firm is also an attractive option.

Over a decade ago McLaren entered the record books with the fastest production car ever made, their iconic F1. Just 106 of the cars were ever built and the exclusivity ensured their notoriety but this year Chairman Ron Dennis has made a statement “Since 1966, when McLaren first raced in F1, 106 teams have come and gone – and that tells me that if we stay solely as an F1 team it will lead to extinction.” Their latest creation, the MP4-12C is not just an attempt to experiment with new driving technology, but to fight off the curse that has fallen so many of their racing rivals.

McLaren plan to produce 1,200 of the cars in the each year, which should mean it can compete with the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini and other supercar companies it may rival. It will cost around 150,000 which is standard supercar money and there have been 1,600 pre-orders already.

McLaren will be building a new factory to produce the car which is set to go into production in 2011, when production begins it will create 300 new jobs. McLaren revealed the MP4-12C at a press conference at their futuristic headquarters outside of Woking; it was uncovered by its first two test drivers, McLarens star F1 racers, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.

Antony Sheriff, Managing Director, explained “The 12C won’t take you to the edge of what’s possible; It will take you to the edge of the edge. It’s what we call an ‘and’ car. It’s powerful and efficient; lightweight and safe; fast and comfortable.” The car will be built using a revolutionary new carbon monocoque chassis based on their F1 cars and they claim it will be able to reach 60mph in “under three seconds”.

Although it could be one of 2011s biggest supercars it will likely not cause as much of a buzz as their F1, however the bigger question is whether the success of this car and this brand will be affected by the one thing they held very dear, their exclusivity? Will the rich and famous still queue up to buy one if it they won’t be the only one driving it? It’s a question that only time will answer but one that could determine the future of this Formula racing giant.

The speed the MP4-12C is capable might persuade McLaren to provide a driving offence solicitor with each car. Their previous F1 required almost every owner to enlist a speeding solicitor at some stage

It has been more than a decade since the British racing legends made history with their iconic F1, the fastest production car ever made (at the time). Only 106 of the hyper cars were made but Chairman Ron Dennis has made a striking statement “Since 1966, when McLaren first raced in F1, 106 teams have come and gone – and that tells me that if we stay solely as an F1 team it will lead to extinction.” Their new car, the stunning MP4-12C is said to be a bid to fight off the financial curse of F1 teams, by becoming a fully fledged road car manufacturer.

Dennis says McLaren are planning to build over 1,200 of the cars in the first year alone, putting it in the leagues of the manufacturers it will be competing with. It is estimated to cost around 150,000 which is standard supercar money and there have been 1,600 pre-orders already.

The factory which is set to be producing the car by 2011 has not yet been built, but when it is it will create 300 new jobs. The MP4-12C was revealed by McLaren at a press conference at their futuristic headquarters outside of Woking, it was uncovered by its first two test drivers, team F1 racers, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.

“The 12C won’t take you to the edge of what’s possible; it will take you to the edge of the edge. It’s what we call an ‘and’ car. It’s powerful and efficient; lightweight and safe; fast and comfortable” Explained Antony Sheriff, Managing Director. Its lightweight construction will be built around a revolutionary Carbon Monocell which is astoundingly strong and will be capable of reaching 60mph in “under three seconds”.

Nobody is denying the supercar status of the new car but it’s not going to cause as much of a stir as the F1.The bigger question is whether the success of this car and this brand will wear off along with their exclusivity? Will every millionaire want one if they know the wont own the only one on the roads? It’s a question that only time will answer but one that could determine the future of this Formula racing giant.

The new McLaren is bound to cause a few driving bans as many of the owners of the previous F1 were convicted of driving offence solicitor within months of receiving the car.

The Tesla Roadster Sport, a child of Silicon Valley, financed by 38 year old PayPal billionaire Elon Musk, it is the first fully electric supercar with commercial viability. An unconventional motoring start-up founded by Californian software engineer Martin Eberhard.

Eberhard’s aim was to develop a car that ran on sustainable energy while, unlike all its competitors, being practical enough to use every day. The difficulty was developing the technology and putting it in a car everybody could afford. The answer was simple; they decided that their first venture would have to start out like the high tech gadgets, hyped-up, over priced and rare, becoming cheaper with time and volume. This would mean that the first line of consumers would fund the development of the company.

The first concept was born, a supercar to prove that green cars can be sexy, sporty and practical. Tesla went about designing the battery and engine system whist outsourcing the design and manufacture of the car itself to British legends Lotus.

The empty cars were shipped to California where the engines were installed and charged bringing the final cost of the car to around 80,000. It’s a modest price for a supercar but a steal of an investment into a company that could hold the future for the motoring industry.

The company was backed by South African billionaire Elon Musk, who sold PayPal to eBay; he was currently investing in commercial rocket science with an aim to put men on mars. Musk had strong ties with Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin who also invested in the company, ties to a film company gave Tesla a chance to market the car to George Clooney, who in turn convinced Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and a list of celebrities to rival the Oscars. With celebrity endorsement came publicity and the company was the darling of the ‘cleantech’ industry.

Production of the Roadster has begun and all of the above mentioned million/billionaires are on the waiting list along with a’ who’s-who’ of the rich and famous as jumping on the eco-wagon becomes increasingly fashionable.

Official testing has shown the Roadster can achieve 0-60 in 3.7 seconds with a limited top speed of 125mph, this means it can out-drag a Ferrari while keeping you pinned in your seat from the instance you touch the pedal, all in absolute silence.

Musk says he plans on selling the intellectual property for their engines to some of the European car giants which he hopes will cause a rise in electric car technology, meaning even if your next car isn’t electric, the one after probably will be.

Although the Tesla is capable of speeding, it’s electronic speed limiter complies with motoring law.

Born in the minds of a group of Silicon Valley millionaires, financed by Elon Musk, a PayPal billionaire, the Tesla Roadster Sport is the first electric car, a supercar at that, with real commercial potential. It is an unusual motoring start-up founded not by a motor enthusiast but Californian software engineer Martin Eberhard.

Eberhard wanted to create a car that could run entirely on electricity but unlike all its competitors, was practical enough to use every day. But he soon discovered why it had not been developed before, it was far too difficult to develop the technology and put it in a car everybody could afford. So they didn’t; they decided that the first car would have to start out like the high tech gadgets, hyped-up, over priced and rare, becoming cheaper with time and volume. This would mean that the development of the company would be subsidised by the first line of consumers.

The bodies were designed by British racing legends Lotus and were shipped to California where the engines were installed and charged which brought the final cost of the car to $100,000. Most would argue that its modest price for a supercar and many would agree it’s a steal of an investment into a company that could hold the future for the motoring industry.

Musk has strong ties to Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin and the movie industry so as soon as production began, there was a’ who’s-who’ of the rich and famous on the waiting list as jumping on the eco-wagon is becoming increasingly fashionable.

When officially tested, the Roadster was found to be capable of achieving 0-60 in 3.7 seconds with a limited top speed of 125mph. This meant the first electric supercar could out-perform a Ferrari while keeping you pinned in your seat from the instance you touch the pedal, all in absolute silence.

Tesla also plan on selling the intellectual property for their engines to some of the European car giants which could create a huge supple of affordable electric cars, meaning even if your next car isn’t electric, the one after probably will be.

Even though the Tesla is limited to 125mph, you will still need a driving offence solicitor for any speeding offence you may commit.
