What does it mean if you have a dream about drunk driving?

by Roch Drives on January 18, 2007

Buffy asked:

Yet you are a teenager and you rarely drink (you take small sips that your parents allow) A.K.A. you’ve never been drunk, but you have these dreams about driving drunk and you die six times over in different scenarios for each in front of your school. What does this mean?
I don’t want to drive drunk, heck I don’t even think I want to drive. So no, I don’t think it would be cool.

if it was a nightmare, then you don’t want to do that and that’s what your afraid of. if it wasn’t a bad dream, then it could be that you might want to try it? did u eat candy before you went to bed? sometimes i have really weird dreams when i eat candy before

You will be killed by a drunk driving student from your school.

It will be someone you know, and someone you know has an alcohol addiction.

You must help them get help for their alcoholism before someone gets killed. If you do not act, you will bear the guilt of the person they kill for years.

it probably means that your very concerned about the risks of drunk driving and those fears are coming through in your dreams. Since school is a big part of any teenager’s social life and interactions, it plays a part in your dream.

Maybe you feel out of control, or pressured by your peers? Or maybe you feel the need to vent or try unexpected or dangerous things. I think dreams are really personal experiences, meaning it would be hard for someone who doesn’t know you to guess what your mind associates with drinking, cars, death, school. What’s your experience with those things?

Try some word associations with each of the main themes, and try to relate those words to how you feel about your life and what you are doing day to day!

it means that you want that dream to come true cause you think it would be cool to get arrested. but you have another dream about getting arrested when you driving drunk and your friends laugh at u so u dont drink ever again!

simply means you are cautious about something happening in your school, could be a boy ,test or whatever… dream is telling you to think it through before jumping into whatever it is at school.. maybe peer pressure about drinking?

let’s go with the symbols and then you can see if any of it makes sense.
car= usually represents your life.
driving drunk would represent a loss of control somewhere.
the number 6 is the number of man, flesh, idol.
death= something ended, loss, separation, change.
dying in front of the school= maybe it means that you’re stopping something or ending it before you have a chance to learn something.
somehow you’re stopping the process.
hope that helps.
God bless.

it seems that something has made a big enough impression about this. its not an all bad thing. what concerns me is you are a teenager and are drinking at all. its not a good time to start.

have you recently had classmates or people you know that have been in car accident and had serious injuries or worse? something is apparently worrying you to the point of not wanting to drive. and you are so right! its not cool to drive drunk.

you are at an age that lots of choices will be put before you that will shape your life. be careful in your decisions. try not to be influenced by the majority or by what is cool. smoking, drinking, drugs and *** are easy to fall into because everyone is doing it. i can look back at things that i wish i not done as a teenager that seemed insignificant the time but set the course of events that kept me from achieving my full potential.

dreams are not predictions and don’t have literal meaning. if you don’t become drunk you cant drive drunk and you are intelligent enough to avoid riding in a car with someone who has been drinking and that includes parents.
