		<description>Robin, it is not the car, it is the driver! A superior car in snow will help somewhat, but it is the driver that makes the difference. 

When you are in Denver, in the first week of September winterize your car. Put an emergency kit that contains what you need to survive in a blizzard for 24 hours in your car. Blankets, food, water, shovel, cell phone, book to read, flashlight. You can get stuck a mile from home, and can be dangerous to leave car.
I have seen 4x4&#039;s stuck there, and have blocked me in to where I could not go anywhere  because of them. Have pulled them out, too, with fwd 86 olds. Pay attention to weather forecasts. If high winds are called for, and 35 degrees or less, stay home! Never let gas tank go below 1/2 full.
