I have been without a drivers license almost 10 years due to D.U.I.’s and driving on a D.U.I. revoked license. It has been around 5 years since I have been in any kind of trouble with the law. I do not drink anymore. I do not use any kind of mind altering chemicals.i have served any and all jail/prison time, and paid all fines. My license are revoked untill dec. 2011.

See a lawyer that is experienced in clemency petitions.

Kind of late actually, but you can try. I’d would get involved in community services and the grassroots sector. Initiate some community projects and make it happen. Invite the governor as the guest of honours for these events.

Unless you or your family are wealthy and well connected politically, there isn’t snything you can do. The governor doesn’t handle these types of matters.

Secondly, if yu served your time and paid your fines there is nothing for the Gov to pardon you. Sadly you are S.O.L. until 2011.

If they have given you a date for reienstatement dec 2011 ,thats the earliest your likely to get it ,you probably cant even appeal any further to the DMV/Sec of State once theyve set a date for reinstatement. Most governors wont even consider a pardon for a offense like drunkdriving, and unless one was willing to set aside you entier conviction ,he doesnt have the power to reinstate your driving priviledges, only to pardon the entire offense,(which he isnt going to do). you did the crime ,now you have to do the time. At least you know when its going to be eligible for reinstatement, normally they revoke it indefinitly and you have to face annual appeals until they choose to give it back.
