I am a student in Ohio and have a valid Canadian drivers license. I need to get an Ohio license for my insurance in Ohio. Can I just take the written test? It doesn’t make sense for me to have to prove my driving skills on a road test when I have a valid drivers license. I know people from other states only have to take a written test. How can I do the same?

DL’s dont transfer. Each state has their own test and requirements that you must complete upon taking up residency in that state, even if it is just temporary residence for school or work.
